Always nice to follow up a flop recipe with a success ;) I make salmon probably once a week because it's so quick and easy. I've never used lentils as a side dish (only in soups) and was pleasantly surprised with the result. The lentils really gave the salmon a nice warm, earthy flavor. This one is a keeper!
What a short post, hope everyone else enjoyed this weeks recipe!
Happy Friday!
Glad this one worked out better for you.
ReplyDeleteLike the new look!
Thanks! No browning involved this week, so I was good :)
DeleteRobin, So glad this was a hit with you! Your dinner looks delicious! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThis week I felt successful :).
DeleteThe green beens look fantastic with the salmon and lentils. Feeling successful is pretty awesome indeed!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this combo, too! I'm hoping to have some leftovers for tomorrow~
ReplyDeleteYes, I love it when a meal comes together and surprises me with better results than I expected. Salmon and lentils together would have never come to my mind, but I'll do this one again. Love your colorful veges/side...isn't it great to have a new healthy meal that you enjoy?
ReplyDeleteThis one was a great surprise. If not for this group, I probably would have never tried this recipe... love that too :)
DeleteYes, this one is a keeper! I topped mine with chives, but I bet the parsley was good with the salmon and lentils also. Good for you for making it even healthier with extra greens (green beans).
ReplyDeleteI always like a recipe that you can use whatever you have, this is a great one for that. I bet the chives were good.
DeleteLooks great with the beans! And it really did go well together didn't it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This is one of those surprising combinations that I would have never thought went together.
DeleteWasn't this one surprisingly good?
