FFwD: Cocoa Sables

I gave up chocolate and desserts for Lent, so this one was a hard one to make.  I had to make it quickly and get it in the fridge fast, to keep my fingers out of the dough.  Instead of adding chopped chocolate to the batter, I added mini chocolate chips.  Since this is a dough that you can freeze, I baked just enough for the kiddos and hid my stash in the freezer.  Can't wait to try them myself, but the little ones enjoyed them for dessert.

    1. They did slice easily, but the dough felt more airy than the plain sables I've made in the past.

  4. I admire your willpower. I don't think I could have mixed up, baked, and the styled these cookies for photos without sneaking a taste. In know you will enjoy the stashed logs when you can bake them for yourself!

  7. That's lots of will power! I took snitches of dough many times and had to eat all the ones that had weird shapes...too good. Your cookies look perfect. You will love these later.
